The food was terrific and they have a Mezcal and tequila selection second to none. Looking forward to heading back.
Stopped here for a margarita and nachos el jefe, also got ceviche. Generous portions of all - we really appreciated the effort put into the nachos, not just a pile of chips with pico dumped on top, fantastic nachos. I can not speak highly enough about the nachos. We thought the shrimp ceviche was delicious too.
Absolutely the best and freshest Mexican food I have ever had. Met the chef and couldn't thank him enough for sharing his passion. I NEVER order churros and I am glad I did. Fantastic. I haven't been this excited about finding a new restaurant in a long time. I cannot wait to back there. You will not be disappointed.
I absolutely enjoyed dining here for my friends birthday. The ambiance of the place was amazing. Very good music & great servers. Our food came out so quickly we were so suprised
This food is amazing! Salsa is delicious and the quesadillas are some of the best I've ever had. The corn and flour tortillas are both delicious and the chicken is flavorful. The service is prompt and the servers are good about modifying dishes as well. The ambience is also incredible and well-decorated interior!
The food is delicious, service is friendly and the atmosphere is laid back. A great place to catch up with friends or have a date night.
I stayed with la rhumba drink. Half of the drink was rum. It was very potent. They have cherry coke, which is unusual. For my main meal I ordered tacos de la Calle con carnitas- they came with yellow rice, refried beans, sautéed onions and jicama slaw. Authentic. My husband ordered a beef burrito and was disappointed since there were garden vegetables such as green beans, peas, corn and rice with traces of beef. He did not like it. My meal was authentically good and his was not. I would like to try this place again. The atmosphere is wonderful here- you feel like you are on vacation.
This place has been on my list for a while and I am pleasantly impressed with how the food was. We ordered take out and it was still hot and fresh when we got home with it. We got the chicken tacos and the birria tacos. Each came with a side of rice and beans. They also came with a side of chips and salsa. The homemade chips and salsa were incredible. There's something so good about homemade chips vs the store bought chips. The salsa was mild but had a spicy kick after a while. The tacos were both very delicious. They were perfectly topped with the lettuce and sauce. The pickled onion was also a good touch for the toppings as well. Next time we get food from here, we are definitely eating there. The interior of the restaurant is so cool and decorated beautifully. We will definitely be back for more soon!
Good Mexican food in WNY is few and far between, but I've finally found another place to add to my rotation whenever that taco craving strikes me. Maizal is tucked away in the Northtowns, but is absolutely worth driving over to. They've got a large menu that boasts lots of traditional Mexican fare. My boyfriend and I ordered takeout from here on a Friday night. I opted for the beef tacos while he got a shrimp quesadilla. We also got their queso and guac combo, because truly, who can resist? My tacos were delicious, as was my boyfriend's quesadilla, and they both came with your standard side of rice and beans. The portion sizes were huge, I had to tap out and save some of mine for later! The queso and guac were also really tasty, and again the portion size was massive. They also include chips and salsa with every takeout meal, which is a nice touch since not every Mexican place offers that. Overall, the food was delicious and the prices were great. If we lived closer we would definitely order from here more often, but I see us coming back in the future!
